Size:
Wingspan is 1 1/2 - 2 3/8 inches.

Similar Species:

Orange Sulphur
Clouded Sulphur
Pink-edged Sulphur
Southern Dogface

Habitat:
Open areas, meadows, cultivated fields, roadsides and gardens.

Range/Abundance:
Very common to abundant in most of the region. Uncommon in the coastal plain.

Flight Period:
Adults fly from early March until late November.

Comments:
At right is a white form female (Colias Albino)of either a Clouded Sulphur or Orange Sulphur. It is impossible
to tell them apart from sight alone.
Also could be confused in flight with a Cabbage White
