Size:
Wingspan is 1 - 1 1/4 inches.

Similar Species:

None.

Habitat:
Coastal tidal and brackish marshes, weedy areas near the coast and gardens.

Range/Abundance:
Common to abundant along the coastal areas from southeastern VA and southward.

Flight Period:
Adults fly from mid April until the end of October in two to three broods.

Larval Host Plants:
Seashore Saltgrass Distichlis spicata

Comments:
These very active skippers can be identified easily by habitat and the cream-colored streak on the hindwing.
