Similar Species:

Broad-winged Skipper
Dion Skipper

Habitat:
Brackish marshes and areas with nectar sources close to brackish marshes.

Range/Abundance:
Rare and found only near brackish marshes along the Atlantic coast.

Flight Period:
Adults fly from mid May until early October in two broods with a large gap between broods. More information is needed about the flight times.

Larval Host Plants:
Unknown.

Comments:
This is a very hard skipper to find unless you conduct a concentrated search for it.

I have found Aaron's Skipper in the Dare Bombing Range in Dare Co., NC, in the Great Dismal Swamp in southeastern VA and the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge in southeastern SC.
